Meet the Team - Liam Raftery

Liam entered the industry as an Apprentice Lift Engineer with Manchester Direct Works where he served his apprenticeship and successfully became a member of the Service and Call Out team responsible for day-to-day pre-planned maintenance tasks and reactive breakdowns.

Fast forward some years and having left his previous role he joined Stannah Lift Services where working through the ranks he became the Service Manager then eventually progressed to Northern Operations Manager where he was responsible for three service branches across the north of England. 

After moving on from Stannah Liam took up a position as Managing Director for a Schindler group company. In 2017 Liam became the Owner and Managing Director of our company, Caledonian Lifts Manchester.

As part of his career path, Liam has gained numerous qualifications such as an ONC in Electrical Engineering, City and Guilds in Lift Engineering, a Diploma in Management Studies, and a Master of Business Administration to name just a few.

In his spare time, he has numerous hobbies such as supporting his local football team, Manchester United where you can find him at most matches! He is an avid boxing fan (We even sponsor a few professional fighters) and he enjoys watching and learning about all thing’s related to history.
