Meet the Team - Matthew Lewis

Like most of our management team, Matt started his career with an apprenticeship at Hall Rewinds conducting fault finding, repair and rewinding of electric motors across all industries including lifts.

Having successfully completed his learning path, Matt wanted to join the lift industry full time and that’s where he started at Britannic Lifts as a Service and Call Out Engineer where he spent numerous years. Matt then moved to Schindler Lifts again as a member of the Service and Call Out team.

Matt worked his way throughout the progression chain to become part of the Technical National Division where he was responsible for correcting technical issues and design upgrades. Matt then joined Caledonian Lifts Manchester as our Operations Manager, a position he held for 2 years before taking up a position as our Repairs Director.

Matt enjoys a wide variety of hobbies and interests, such as rugby league where he also coached his son’s team for over 10 years, mountain biking, cooking, many film genres and true documentaries. The opposite to Liam, Mat enjoys watching our other resident football team, Manchester City.
